Trading Tips

"Radcliffe" and "Barnard" sweaters, Beehive, 1938

I see from many of our "followers" that we have many readers with fascinating blogs. If you would like to exchange links, please let me know, and I'd be happy to add you to our "Places to Visit" section -- please post your URL, and I'll add you!

Incidentally, as you may have noticed, I had to take down the direct e-mail link, as I was overwhelmed with impossible questions like "I found some blue yarn. There's no label. What is it?" (I'll take guessing games, for $500, Alex.") I'm sorry to cut of direct communication, but I'm sure you all understand how loads of these kinds of requests -- and often being pestered incessantly by such queries -- is overly vexing. Not that it's not flattering in a way, but the anxiety of not being able to come to the aid of readers is overwhelming.

I can imagine the type of questions you get asked. Often, I get asked how long it takes for a newbie to knit up a scarf or sweater and I have to end up going into lengthy explanations as to how differing yarn thickness, time commitment and pattern difficulty etc etc have a role in my answering the question! :P

My sister worked at a Borders many years ago. A customer walked into the store, and inquired of her where to find the book with the red cover. Well, of course, that would be in the red-cover section! :P

Thank you! And what a swell idea for a blog you have -- I'm more than happy to add you to my links section!

Alas, my gloves are still AWOL. I'm sure they'll turn up after I've finshed the second pair I've started...le sigh.
